If you’ve been following along with me at www.Twitter.com/24HoursInDisney and MY adventures for “One More Disney Day” and the events of a FULL 24+ hours I spent in Walt Disney World, then you know that “Trip Reports” can be a blast!
I love reading about other people’s experiences on THEIR Disney vacations. And I know that almost 600 people kept up with silly me as I prepared, packed and ultimately experienced “One More Disney Day.”
My next trip isn’t planned for a while. So “live reports” from 24 Hours In Disney will slow down from me. But that’s where YOU come in, my fellow Disney fan(atics)!
After #Disney24 I did not want to let www.Twitter.com/24HoursInDisney just fade away. Thus, the tiny tweak to the profile from “A Day In Disney” to “My Day In Disney.”
As the picture implies, I the “idea light bulb” went off over my head.
For someone, somewhere it is ALWAYS going to be SOMEBODY’S “Day in Disney.”
Which is why I’m going to try the first ever “shared” Twitter account. And turn over “My Day In Disney” to you. For YOUR trip reports.
One by one and trip by trip I’ll select people who are Disney-bound and let them share their adventures. Have you ever noticed that the most popular parts of any of the big Disney Fan sites are the “Trip Reports?” People who AREN’T on a Disney Vacation want to know about people who ARE.
Disney fans, myself included, love pictures from Disneyland, Walt Disney World and the overseas parks. What’s the weather like? Is your hotel nice? What tips, secrets and strategies do you have to make the most of your “Day In Disney?”
Now, www.Twitter.com/24HoursInDisney becomes YOUR place to share. And I’m going to share back, as well. With prizes for those willing or brave enough to let us peek in on their Disney vacation AND those following along with you.
You may already have a Twitter or Facebook account of your own, and that’s no problem. You can cross post. You can post your Twitter to your Facebook and your Facebook to your Twitter. And you can bring your friends along at www.Twitter.com/24HoursInDisney by getting them to follow you there so THEY can have a shot at the prizes, too.
Right now there’s almost 600 people who want more Disney in their lives. And I’d love to give you a chance to give it to them with your Trip Reports.
But how does it work? Well, I’m hoping first of all that you think this is as good an idea as I do. And second, I want to make this as easy as possible for you to become “My Day In Disney” and share your trip.
I’ve set up an email - MyDay@24HoursInDisney.com - if you’d like to participate. I firmly believe that most people are good. And that Disney fans are the best. So you email me, we talk it over and I give you a temporary password to www.Twitter.com/24HoursInDisney and then you Tweet your heart out.
When you’re done, I’ll pass along the account to someone else with another temporary password and we’ll just keep going as long as we can.
This idea is as nutty as me spending more than 24 hours awake and inside Walt Disney World. But that worked out. I’d really love for this idea of a “shared” way for you and me and all the Disney fans who can’t be at a park to work.
It might.
It might not.
But, adventure is out there! And I’m willing to go looking for it. Are you?
Then email MyDay@24HoursInDisney.com and let’s chat. Let’s find the first person willing to share their vacation with us. And the second. And the third. And the…well, you get the idea.
And oh, I did mention there WILL BE PRIZES, right? Don’t want to leave that bit out.
